My tipochina's leaves are turning brown and falling off. New growth is coming in, but also is starting to turn brown. Tree is full of blooms.

Hi Kelly,
hope you still check this page and your tree is alive.
The Tibouchina needs acidic soil. If the soil is not acidic enough the leaves burn and will turn brown.
Add sulphur on the ground, around the roots or use an acidifying fertiliser. Remember to prune after flowering to keep the flowering cycle and to keep the tree smaller, as it will grow very large otherwise. Its a great tree as no pest or disease comes near them.
Cheers,
Yvonne
