Dividing an exhausted Peace Lily

Posted in Indoor Plant about 1 year ago, 0 replies

We have a rescued Peace Lily...probably a Wiltonii-that's the 18"x24" cultivar nurseries in our area stock. It's in good health, but is showing some signs of exhaustion...it's been over 5 years since it last went dormant.

I would like to divide the plant, and perhaps also give it a rest once it finishes blooming.

Would it be better to dry the plant down and then divide it? Or would it be better to divide the plant and watch to see whether it wants to go dormant on its own?
