what is wrong with these plants now.

I HAVE A CHINESE FAN PALM PLANT THE TIPS OF THE LEAVES ARE BROWN WHY? ALSO IT DOESNT SEEM TO BE GROWING HOW DO I GET IT TO GROW? MY SECOND QUESTION IS I HAVE A MAJESTY PALM PLANT HIT HAS A NEW SHOOT BUT IT HASNT OPENED WHY?

I HAVE THIS MAJESTY PALM PLANT IT HAS A NEW SHOOT WHY HASNT IT , OPENED YET HOW CAN I GET THE NEW SHOOT TO OPEN? ALSO I BOUGHT TWO ARECA PALM PLANTS THAT WERE IN A 6 INCH POTS EACH I REPOTTED THEM ONTO A 10 INCH POT I HAVE IT BY A SOUTH WINDOW IS THIS OK HOW TALL WILL THIS PLANT GET? AND WHAT ABOUT FEEDING THIS PLANT? .I ALSO HAVE A AHTHRIUM PLANT BUT I CANT GET IT TO RE BLOOM HOW CAN I GET IT TO REFLOWER?
